A Walk with the Nikon Z 70-180 f/2.8
I took this frightening portrait of a cat on a walk yesterday, planning to take sunset pictures like the one below with the wonderful Nikon Z 70-180 f/28. But the beauty of this lens is that it can also be used as a portrait lens. The Z5 detected the face and probably the eyes, but the cat was moving too fast for its AF system. So the eyes are not 100% sharp. The distance to the animal as only around 1m.
There is one point in sunset when the sky is still bright enough to expose the moon correctly. In the image below, it is still a bit too bright. And, of course, such images improve when the moon is closer to the horizon. But I like the minimalistic effect. It was enhanced by removing a small bush near the tree using Lightroom's AI removal.
